FOCUS PERFORMANCE CENTER ANNOUNCES NEW HEAD STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH


Focus Performance is excited to announce the hiring of a new strength and conditioning coach Maddie Mullen. Maddie is currently the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and will now be tasked with running the day to day operations of Focus Performance. She will also be involved in developing strength and conditioning plans for athletes in the area who want to take their game to the next level.

Maddie attended Washington College where she played varsity lacrosse for 4 years and graduated with a degree Anthropology. She then attended Salisbury University and completed her masters in applied health and physiology. While at Salisbury University Maddie served as a graduate assistant designing strength and conditioning programs for both male and female varsity sports.

Maddie will now be tasked with working with many talented athletes of all sports in the Fredericksburg area. Maddie Mullen said “My mission as a Coach is to help athletes realize and reach their athletic potential through a positive training environment. I’m very excited for the opportunity to help impact athletes at Focus Performance.” Virginia Unity Softball CEO and Focus Performance Center Co-Owner Josh Johnson said, “We are extremely excited to welcome Maddie as the head strength and conditioning coach at Focus Performance Center. Maddie brings a wealth of knowledge, a passion for player development and will provide the young female athletes leadership and guidance. She will be a game changer in the Fredericksburg area.” Pro5 VA head baseball coach Anthony Burke had this to say about bringing Maddie on board, “We are extremely fortunate to have Maddie come be apart of our program. Coming from IMG Academy she brings a great deal of knowledge in training and developing baseball players.” Canes National NY Mets Scout Team Head Coach, and Pro 5 VA GM Jeff Petty stated "Maddie is a home run hire for Focus Performance. I was in awe of her knowledge in the Strength & Conditioning field as well as her real drive to make all around her better. We are very lucky to have her inside the walls of Focus Performance.”
